Our beloved husband, father and Pop pop passed away December 24, 2025. 1SGT retired Darrell William Condry will be missed by many. He was married to Nancy E. (McClelland) Condry for over 55 years. He was the father of Nanette E. Shindledecker and her husband, Tom, of Smithsburg, MD and Katie Baker and husband, Codie, of Virginia Beach, VA. He has three Grandchildren, Grant and Leilani Williams and Keira Baker.
Darrell is survived by two Brothers, Bernard Condry of Clarksville, TN, Scott Condry and wife, Frances, of Cumberland, MD; and two Sisters, Mildred Moore of Poinciana, FL and Darlene Bolen and husband, Ronald, of Huntsville, AL.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Megan Diane Condry, his parents, Walter and Eleanor Condry of Oldtown, MD, in-laws, Richard and Frances McClelland of Cumberland, MD, three brothers, Ralph Condry of Cumberland, MD, and Martin Condry and Patrick Condry of Oldtown, MD.
He retired from the U.S. Army Aviation with over 26 years of service. He was stationed in Vietnam for 2 years, Korea 3 years, Germany 7 years, as well as Ft. Hood, TX, Ft. Rucker, AL and Ft. Riley, KS.
Darrell also retired with 18 years with the Maryland State Police Aviation Division in Baltimore, MD. He ended his helicopter career with 4 years with MAG, Inc. in Hagerstown, MD.
He graduated with the class of 1966 in Oldtown, MD.
He leaves behind many Nieces, Nephews, and lifelong friends.
Darrell was a Baptist by faith. He taught adult Sunday School classes for over 35 years in different churches, as well as serving as deacon. He loved his Savior. He currently belongs to Westview Baptist Church in Martinsburg, WV.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, January 31, 2026 at 11 AM at West View Baptist Church, 301 S. Louisiana Ave. Martinsburg, WV 25401 with Pastor Bryan Dugger officiating.
Family will receive friends at the church one hour prior.
