David Michael "Dave" Shaw

David M. “Dave” Shaw, 62, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away Monday, February 10, 2020 at Hospice of Washington County, Doey’s House, of Hagerstown. Born October 31, 1957 in Hagerstown, he was the son of the late Jesse Edgar Shaw and Barbara Louise (Keller) Shaw. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Barb Shaw. He was a graduate of Smithsburg High School class of 1975 and was a member of the Leopard High School Band and the Jazz Band. Dave began his career as a Grit Magazine Carrier on his Schwinn Bicycle. During high school he worked at the Dutchie Pretzel Factory in Smithsburg. He went on to work at Fairchild for one year before starting at Hobart Corporation as a service technician and retiring as a regional manager. They would always say “Call Dave, he will fix it right”. Dave enjoyed annual vacations with family at Edisto Island, SC. He is survived by daughter, Danielle M. Shaw, grandson, Brandon J. Shaw and companion Kristian, great-grandchildren, Evelyn and Eli and sister, Jennifer Boggs. Per Dave’s wishes, there will be no services.
