David A. Reecher

David A. Reecher of Arnold, Maryland, passed away on September 11, 2022. He was born in Waynesboro, PA on December 6, 1959, to the late William C. Reecher and Patricia G. Reecher of Smithsburg, MD. He was a graduate of Waynesboro Senior High School, class of 1979. He also graduated from Vale Technical Institute and Frederick Community College. David was a veteran of the Air National Guard and the owner of Rapid Results Realty. David lived in Hawaii and California while working in the aviation industry. His interests then turned to Publishing and Real Estate. He gave his all to his business endeavors. He was the most upbeat, motivated person with a tremendous willpower, can-do attitude, and entrepreneurial spirit. He enjoyed being on the water – boating and jet skiing, spending time with his family, traveling, football, a good bourbon, and a fine cigar. He was predeceased by his father, William C. Reecher, mother-in-law, Pauline S. Stevanus, and step- mother-in-law, Wanda J. Stevanus. David leaves behind his wife, Cheryl (Stevanus) Reecher, whom he married October 5, 1985. His son, Landon P. Reecher, and daughter, Carley M. Reecher, all of Arnold. His mother, Patricia G. Reecher of Smithsburg. Sisters, Kim R. Cushwa (David) of Hagerstown and Karen R. Gist (Harold) of Smithsburg, Brother, Jon E. Reecher (Christina) of Boca Grande, FL, Father-in-law, Harold A. Stevanus, Cresaptown, MD. Brother-in-Law, Mark A. Stevanus (Ashley) Braddock Heights, MD. Nieces, Elizabeth Gist and Ava Reecher, Nephews, William Gist, Grant Reecher and Airon Stevanus, along with many cousins and beloved dog, Blayze. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital at: StJude.Org A Celebration of Life will be held in Severna Park, MD, at the Barranco Funeral Home on October 18 with visitation from 2:00 to 4:00 and a memorial service at 4:00 p.m. and also in Smithsburg, MD at Davis Funeral Home on October 20 with visitation from 2:00 to 4:00 with a memorial service following at 4:00 p.m.
