David Walter Somerlade

David W. Somerlade, 78, of Hagerstown, MD., passed away Monday, January 27, 2025, at Meritus Medical Center.

Born June 30, 1946, in Hagerstown, MD., he was the son of the late Wilbert B. and Miriam G. Somerlade.

He served in the US Navy from December 1967 until December of 1973, when he received an honorable discharge.

After his discharge, he moved to Houston, TX., where he was employed as a seismic sonar technician. After the passing of his father, David and his wife moved to Hagerstown to help his mother. He was then employed in the communication industry.

David is survived by his wife, Crystal B. Somerland; son, Jon D. Somerlade and his wife Traci; grandson, Kirran; and granddaughter, Kaili.

The family will hold a private Memorial Service at their convenience.
