David “Dave” Nair Walker, 93, of Hagerstown passed away September 12, 2025 at Meritus Hospital.
Dave was a devoted husband, loving father and “Pop Pop”. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Judith (Murkowicz) Walker; his daughters Kimberly Walker Smith (Kyle) of Smithsburg and Noelle Walker Prussman (Chris) of Stallings, NC; 7 grandchildren Christopher (Kalina), Morgan and Lexi Henderson; Riley, Andrew, Quinn and Eme Prussman.
Dave was born in Cumberland MD on September 12, 1932 to the late David Lewis Walker and Wilda Maxson Walker.
He was predeceased by his brother Lewis. He graduated in 1949 from Montgomery Blair High School and attended Washington and Lee University. Dave served in Korea with the US Army. He was PER of the Silver Spring Elks. Dave’s greatest passion was golf. He started his golf career at Falls Road GC in Potomac MD in 1963 and retired as Head Professional from Laytonsville GC in 1997. Dave served as President of the MAPGA from 1982-83. The Junior Golf program was especially close to his heart and he dedicated many years working with high schools, hosting clinics and tournaments for Junior Golf. As a proud 55 year member of the PGA he celebrated many career achievements, had several “Hole in Ones”, and received numerous awards. He continued to play up in to his 90s. Dave enjoyed all of the time he spent over the past few years at his second home, Beaver Creek Country Club.
There will be a private memorial for family.
Friends are invited to join his family in remembering Dave at The Beaver Creek Country Club on Saturday September 20th from 2-4pm
