Dessie Caudo Obituary

Dessie Marie Caudo, 64, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away on Saturday, September 6, 2025, after a long battle with lung cancer.

Born on July 12, 1961 in Hagerstown, MD, she was the daughter of the late Wilson P. and Bertha C. Bryan.

For 49 years, Dessie was the loving wife of Anthony J. Caudo, Sr. She was a mother to her sons, Richard Caudo and his wife, Joy; Anthony Caudo, Jr. and his wife, Dawn; and James Caudo. She cherished her role as a Grandmother to Dustin Perrott, Kiersten Boppe, Tyler Caudo, Ethan Caudo, JJ Caudo, Richard "Bubba" Caudo, Jr., Steven Shank, and Willow Shank. She found immense joy in her two Great Granddaughters, Sophia and Olivia Boppe.

To countless people, Dessie was affectionately known as "Aunt Dess." Her home was a haven, and she was always willing to lend a hand, whether by giving her last dollar or offering a place to stay to anyone in need. She touched many lives with her generous spirit and compassionate heart.

Dessie had a deep love for her family and enjoyed taking trips with her many friends. Her favorite past time was watching her grandchildren, whether they were performing in dinner theater, playing on the baseball field, or simply playing at her feet while she rested.

Though she will be greatly missed, her family finds comfort in her salvation and that she is now free of all burdens in the arms of her Savior.

"If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." (Romans 10:9).

In accordance with Dessie's wishes, she is being cremated. A private celebration of her life will be held for family and friends later.

Arrangements were made by J.L. Davis Funeral Home, Smithsburg, MD and online condolences may be offered at www.jldavisfh.com.
