Donald Eugene Brown

Donald Eugene Brown, 91, of Rohrersville, MD, passed away peacefully Thursday, November 10, 2022, at his home. Born Thursday, August 27, 1931, in Cavetown, MD, he was the son of the late Lester R. Brown and Pearl M. (Frey) Brown. Donald was a member of Smithsburg High school, class of 1949, and went onto Woodbury College of Los Angelas, CA, where he received his bachelor’s degree in Business Management in 1955. He was employed at Beneficial Finance Company for 20 years, and then moved onto Credit Manager at AC&T Co. Inc. until retirement. Donald is a US Army Veteran who served in the Korean War Era from September of 1949 until October of 1952. He is a lifetime member of Society for Advancement of MGMT, and a member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Smithsburg, MD, Phi Gamma Koppa Awards, and Catoctin Exchange Club of Fort Ritchie, MD. He attended Mt. Zion Lutheran Church of Rohrersville, MD. Donald is survived by his daughters Teresa Hutzell (Terry), Pamela Walker (Robert), and Cynthia Reynolds (Glenn), niece, Barbara Brown, and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his former wife, S. Joan Austin, son Michael E. Brown, brothers, Lester Brown and Alvey Gerald Brown, and sisters, Betty Brown Rohrer and Joyce Brown Stevenson. Services will be held Monday, November 14, 2022, at 2:00pm at J.L. Davis Funeral Home, Smithsburg, MD, with Pastor Regina Beard officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, Hagerstown, MD. The family will receive friend one hour prior to the service.
