Donald Fasca, Sr. Obituary

Donald John Fasca, Sr., 88, of Manchester, MD, passed away peacefully Monday, February 3, 2025, at his home, surrounded by loving family.

 

Born on August 30, 1936, in Martins Ferry, OH, he was the son of the late Julia (Pak) Wasko and John Fasca.

 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Sonya Caldwell; and Brothers, Ronald Fasca and Sonny Wasko.

 

Donald graduated from Kenwood High School in Baltimore, class of 1954.

 

He served in the U.S. Air Force.

 

Donald owned and operated a bar and restaurant called the Keg Inn in Manchester, MD for 9 years. He later was employed as a maintenance man for Baltimore County Public Schools until his retirement after 20 years. After his retirement, he worked as a security guard and enjoyed volunteering for Meals on Wheels and for the North Carroll Senior Center.

 

Donald was a lifetime member of St. Bartholomew's Catholic Church, Manchester, MD. He was also a member of Lineboro-Manchester Lions Club, and Hanover Lodge No. 227 Loyal Order of Moose.

 

Donald enjoyed farming and raising his pigs, he was an avid reader. He enjoyed going to Leola Auctions for produce, and spending time with friends and family.

 

He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Mitzie (McNeal) Fasca; Children, Donald J. Fasca, Jr. and wife, Terry, of Hampstead, MD; Timothy C. Fasca and wife, Mary of Rhode Island; Ted S. Fasca and wife, Connie of Richmond, VA; and Katie Lehr and husband, James of Blue Ridge Summit, PA; 9 Grandchildren; 8 Great Grandchildren; Sister, Linda Dewey (Doug); sister-in-law, Mary Ann Fasca; and numerous Nieces, Nephews and Cousins.

 

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.

 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Tunnels to Towers Foundation, 2361 Hylan Blvd. Staten Island, NY 10306.
