Donald Lee Taylor, 80, of Hagerstown, MD, fell asleep in death on Monday, August 9, 2021, at Doey’s House.
Born January 31, 1941, in Pinesburg, MD, he was the son of the late Sherman Taylor, Sr. and Lillie (Lewis) Taylor.
Donald graduated from Clear Spring High School in 1958.
Over the years he worked for 5 years at Horst Milk Transfer, 37 years at Pangborn Corporation and 8 years at J&D Kitchens before retiring February 29, 2008.
He was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses on August 26, 1961. He served for many years as an Elder in the local Hagerstown congregation.
Donald is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Mary Lee Taylor, son, Bryan Taylor (Donna) of Poplarville, MS, and Mark Taylor (Kimberly) of Hagerstown, MD, daughters, Amy Rostock of Hagerstown, MD, and Erin Gibson (Joshua) of Rancho Cordova, CA, eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and one sister, Nancy Bragg (Charles) of Hagerstown, MD.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Sherman Taylor, Jr., John Taylor, and Kenneth Taylor, and five sisters, Anna Mary Ruse, Elaine Startzman, Margaret MacDonald, Maxine Guessford, and Janet Reynard.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 14, 2021, at 2:00pm via ZOOM – ID# 871 7313 2410, Passcode – 756568.
