Donn F. Ebberts, 86, of Boonsboro, Maryland, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of his family.
Born and raised in Petersville, Maryland, Donn spent much of his life in the community he loved. He enjoyed a long and respected career with the National Bureau of Standards in Gaithersburg, Maryland, where he was known as a dedicated and dependable employee.
Outside of work, Donn had a passion for staying active. He was an avid tennis and ping-pong player and loved riding bicycles. Whether competing on the court or enjoying a bike ride, he embraced an active lifestyle and found joy in friendly competition and spending time outdoors.
Donn will also be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor. He loved making people laugh and had a playful personality that brought joy to family, friends, and everyone who knew him. He enjoyed kidding around, and his lighthearted nature made even ordinary moments memorable.
Donn is survived by his his sister, Sue Ann Johnson, his daughters, Denise Wood, husband Daniel Wood, and Kimberly Harris; and his beloved grandchildren, Joshua Wood (Lindsey), Kristen Buchanan (Mike), Tyler Wood (Kami), and Khara Geiser (Jeff) and several great grandchildren.
His family will remember him for his love, dedication, laughter, and the many memories he created with those fortunate enough to know him.
