Doris Marie (Morningstar) Moser

Doris M. Moser, 77, of Hagerstown, MD, died Sunday, August 15, 2021, at Meritus Hospital in Hagerstown. Born August 2, 1944, she was daughter Gertrude E. (Ausherman) Morningstar and the late George E. Morningstar. She attended South Hagerstown High School. She was employed by Fairchild and after 30 years of service she retired from General Motors Corp. in Martinsburg, WV. She was a member of the Church of God Boonsboro, MD. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband Wayne C. Moser of 60 years, two daughters Debra Moser and Diane Lady. Two brothers Edward Morningstar and wife Shirley and Terry Morningstar wife Teresa. Four grandchildren CJ Poffenberger, Sabrina Moser, Christine White, Joshua Lady. With 5 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Doris loved spending time with friends and family most of all. She kept busy with many different craft projects as well as watching the wild birds that visited her every day. She enjoyed watching football. There will be a private service held at J.L. Davis Funeral Home Smithsburg MD. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital. Condolences may be expressed at www.jldavisfh.com.
