Edith - (Carr) Iverson

Edith Iverson passed away on Monday, March 11, 2019 at Hagerstown Health, Hagerstown, MD. Edith was born May 4, 1923 to the late Walter and Edith Carr in Gloucester, England. World War II in Europe shaped Edith’s life. She was an Air Raid Warden and an eye witness to the bombings and fires and remembered the Normandy Invasion. Edith married William Iverson, and American GI at the end of the war. A union that lasted 43 years until his death. Edith was of the Seventh-day Adventist faith in God. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one sister, Gwen. She is survived by her children, Connie, Mark and wife Sandy and John, five grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. There will be no viewing. Burial will be private. The family wishes to express thanks to Hagerstown Health, Hospice of Washington County and J.L. Davis Funeral Home for their services.
