Edith Virginia Porreca

Edith Virginia Porreca, 97, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away peacefully Wednesday, May 14, 2025, at her home, surrounded by loving family.

Born on August 14, 1927, in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Margaret (Alberto) and Ralph Saracino.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Joseph Rosaro Porreca; Daughter, Linda Duerr; Great Granddaughter, Kirsten McGhee; 4 Sisters and 1 Brother.

Edith enjoyed being a homemaker, always cooking and taking care of her family which she loved dearly.

She loved having her cat, NaNe, by her side.

Edith was always a fan of watching her sports teams, Penn State, the Eagles, and the Phillie's.

Edith was a member of St. Ann Roman Catholic Church, Hagerstown, MD.

She is survived by her son, Thomas J. Porreca and wife, Lois of New Jersey; Daughters, Patricia A. McGhee and husband, Robert, of Hagerstown, MD, and Susan E. Palmer and husband, John, of Smithsburg, MD; 7 Grandchildren; 12 Great Grandchildren; 2 Great Great Grandchildren; Son in Law, Jeff Duerr, and numerous Nieces and Nephews.

A Traditional Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Ann Roman Catholic Church, Hagerstown, MD, Saturday, August 16, 2025, @ 12:00 pm.
