Edward Leon Knepper

Edward Leon Knepper, 75, of Poplar Grove Rd. Hagerstown, MD, passed away Sunday, July 22, 2018 at his home. Born Tuesday, May 18, 1943 in Hagerstown, he was the son of the late Guy Cleveland Knepper and Adaline (Kendall) Knepper. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Sylvia Jean (Izer) Knepper in 1997. Ed was a graduate of North Hagerstown High School class of 1961. He retired from Mack Truck Inc. after 37 years of service. Ed was a member of Ringgold Church of Christ and volunteered at the Reach of Washington County Cold Weather Shelter. Ed is survived by his wife Barbara Ellen (Weagley) Knepper, daughter, Michelle Knepper-Deming and husband Matt, son, Patrick Edward Knepper and wife Mia, sister, Deanna Soulis, brother, Cleveland Knepper, grandchildren, Lauren Dietrich, Danille Knepper-Smith and husband Michael, Josh Knepper, Andrew Knepper and Elijah Knepper, great-grandchildren, Kingston Smith and Legend Smith and many extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by one son, Chad Alexander Knepper. Services will be held Friday, July 27, 2018 at 11:00am at Ringgold Church of Christ, 14420 Barkdoll Rd. Hagerstown, MD, 21742, with Pastor Don Conley officiating. Burial will be in Ringgold Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10am-11am at the church, one hour prior to the service.
