Obituary

Edward Lynn Schlotterbeck, 78, passed away peacefully on June 6, 2022. He was the husband of Donna Marie Schlotterbeck. They shared 60 years of marriage together. Born on September 11, 1943 in Hagerstown, Maryland, he was the son of late Edward and Isabel Schlotterbeck. He graduated from North Hagerstown High School in 1961. He retired from the Maryland State Police Department and the Washington County Sheriff’s Department as a PCS, after 40 years of service. He enjoyed baking and cooking for friends and family, attending his grandchildren’s sporting events, and taking care of his dogs. He will always be remembered for his calming presence, kind soul, and contagious smile. He is survived by Donna Marie Schlotterbeck, son’s Douglas and wife Kathy, Christopher and wife Jessica, grandchildren Travis, Brandon, Isaac, Trinity, Zoe, Lily, Nolan, and Phoenix, and sister’s Bonnie Spickler and Mary Renner. He is proceeded in death by his sister, Joanne Etter and brother, Douglas Schlotterbeck. The celebration of life will be held on Saturday June 25th at the Hub City Vineyard Church. The family will receive friends at 2:00 pm and the service will follow from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
