Edward Algernon Worth, 81, of Sabillasville, MD passed away Wednesday, June 10, 2026, answering God's call to come home.
Born on June 14, 1944 in Hagerstown, MD, he was the son of the late Donna Marie (Herrmann) and Bayard Harper Worth, Sr.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his Brother, Bayard "Bunky" Harper Worth, Jr.
Ed graduated from North Hagerstown High School, class of 1962.
He served in the U.S. Navy.
Ed worked as a truck driver for Mack Truck in Hagerstown until his retirement after 36 years.
Ed was a member of Germantown Church of God, Cascade, MD, Friendship Lodge #84 A.F. & A. M., Blue Ridge Summit Volunteer Fire Company, Cascade American Legion, Post 239, and Elks Lodge B.P.O.E 684.
He is survived by his loving Wife of 54 years, Faye A. (Christie) Worth; Sons, Jason Worth and wife, Lori, and John "Harp" Worth and friend, Kelli, all of Sabillasville, MD; Grandchildren, Cory, Cheyenne, and Garrett Worth; Daughter in Law, Missy Worth; and numerous Nieces and Nephews.
A funeral service will be held Monday, June 15, 2026 at 3 PM at Germantown Church of God, 16924 Raven Rock Rd. Cascade, MD 21719 with Pastor Linda Rosenberry officiating. Interment will follow in Bethel Cemetery, Cascade, MD.
Family will receive friends at the church two hours prior to the service.
