Elise Joan (Reynolds) Wolfe

Elise Joan Wolfe, 81, of Smithsburg, MD, passed away Friday, December 24, 2021, at Hospice of Washington County, Doey’s House in Hagerstown, MD. Born April 21, 1940, in Greensburg, MD, she was the daughter of the late Elder Blaine Reynolds and Eva Catherine (Miller) Reynolds. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Robert Lee Wolfe, Sr. who passed away March 6, 2017. They were married September 19, 1958. She was a graduate of Smithsburg High School class of 1958. She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Greensburg, MD, where she served in various positions. She was employed by several businesses and lastly retired from Direct Mail Processors. Elise is survived by one son, Robert L. Wolfe, Jr. and wife Sue of Smithsburg; one daughter, Kelli A. Kittel and husband Jim of Hagerstown; four grandchildren, Robert L. Wolfe III, Steven P. Wolfe, Abigail E. Kittel and Grace O. Kittel; and one brother Wayne (Rick) Reynolds and wife Lauretta of Greencastle, sister-in-laws, Leda Reynolds of Hagerstown and Joann Cowden of Smithsburg. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Kay Elaine Wolfe; brothers, Norman Reynolds, Charles Reynolds, Myron Reynolds, and Kenneth Reynolds and half brother Arthur Reynolds. There will be a private viewing for family. A graveside service will be held Thursday, December 30, 2021, at 2:00pm at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, Hagerstown, with Pastor Julie Brigham officiating. Donations may be made to Hospice of Washington County or St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Greensburg, Maryland. Arrangements were made by J.L.
