Elsie Arlene (Snurr) Pittman

Elsie Arlene Pittman, 90, of Ocala, FL, formerly of Leitersburg, MD, passed away peacefully Thursday, October 9, 2025 at Cate's Hospice House, Ocala, FL, surrounded by loving family.

Born on May 2, 1935 in a farmhouse in Leitersburg, MD, she was the daughter of the late Isabel (Wagaman) and Gorman Snurr.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 57 years, William H. Pittman, Sr.; Son, William "Billy" Pittman, Jr.; Sister, Betty Tressler; and Brother, Paul D. Snurr.

Elsie graduated from North Hagerstown High School, class of 1953.

Elsie was a homemaker and a Lifetime Member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Leitersburg, MD.

Elsie loved animals, and in her later years enjoyed traveling and spending time with family.

She is survived by her Son, Robert Pittman and his wife, Binqian, of Ocala, FL; Grandson, Kenan Wu; Brother, James Snurr of Leitersburg, MD; and numerous Nieces and Nephews.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday, October 21, 2025 at 2 PM at J.L. Davis Funeral Home, 12525 Bradbury Ave. Smithsburg, MD 21783 with Reverend Allen Reed officiating. Interment will follow in Green Hill Cemetery, Waynesboro, PA.

Family will receive friends Monday, October 20, 2025 from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
