FAE J BARNHART

Fae J. Barnhart, 82, of Clear spring MD, we to the with the Lord, quick and peacefully, at Menno Haven Personal care, Chambersburg, PA, on Thursday, April 20, 2023.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 52 years F. Ernest Barnhart.

In addition to her husband, Fae is also preceded in death by her two sisters, Virginia Talley of Sinton, TX, and Evelyn Warner of Waynesboro, PA.

Born December 6, 1940, in Smithsburg, MD, she was the daughter of the late Clarence Frey, and Mae Miller.

She was the youngest of the four daughters to the late Clarence and Mae Frey.

She was a member of the Welty Church of the Brethren where Ernie and Fae Married on November 24, 1960, by the Rev. Glenn Heckman.

Her teenage years she worked on Orchards in Smithsburg, MD.

After marriage she worked with her husband on their dairy farm. Her favorite kind of work was bookkeeping, feeding the calves, and milking.

She was a dog lover, she always had several dogs, her favorite hobby was traveling, when possible, to Texas to be with her oldest sister, Virginia.

In later years, Fae, and Norma, both traveled to Texas to visit, when they could.

Ernie and Fae traveled West several times to see the Country.

In the early 80’s, Ernie and Fae, traveled with the Farm Journal Farm Tours for 3 weeks to see farms in Europe.

Fae is survived by her two sons, Wayne Barnhart (Judy), and Tim Barnhart, two granddaughters, Jennifer and Jessica, sister, Norma Sprenkle, formerly of Waynesboro, PA, and now a resident at Menno Haven.

Services will be held on Wednesday, April 26, 2023, at 1:00 pm, at Welty Church of the Brethren, 13465 Greensburg Rd, Smithsburg, MD, officiated by Reverend, James Dodge.

Interment will follow at the adjoining Cemetery.

The family will be receiving friends prior to service from 11:30 am – 1:00 pm, at the Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Welty Church of the Brethren.
