Obituary
Geraldine Elizabeth Frey, 92, of Smithsburg, MD, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, April 7, 2023.
Born July 20, 1930, in Hagerstown, MD, she was the daughter of the late Roy C. Wiles, and Grace E. (Johnson) Wiles.
Geraldine was a member of the Cavetown United Church of Christ.
She was employed by Double-day and Washington County Board of Education.
Gerladine is survived by her daughters, Joy E. Reece (Michael), Pat A. Frey, Barbara J. Shupe (Ronnie), Diana J. Judd, Pam M. Doyle (David), Jan I. Clopper, sisters, Juanita Dayhoff, and Jody Benchoff, 12 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Geraldine is preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Robert "Gene" E. Frey, who passed away on December 25, 2004, her brother, Pete Hull, granddaughter, Jennifer Judd, and sons-in-laws, Kevin Judd, and Bobbby Clopper.
A Funeral Service will be held at Cavetown Church of Christ, Cavetown, MD, on Friday, April 14, 2023, at 10:00 am, officiated by Reverend Charles MacLee. Family will be receiving friends at J.L. Davis Funeral Home, 12525 Bradbury Ave, Smithsburg, MD, 21783, on Thursday, April 13, 2023, from 6-8 pm.
