Gary Lee Walling

Gary Lee Walling, 73, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away Saturday, March 15, 2025, at his home.

Born May 9, 1951, in Hagerstown, MD, he was the son of the late George J. Walling and Louise W. (Walling) Howlet.

Gary was a veteran of the US Army, serving in the Vietnam War.

He retired from Huntzberry Brothers Inc. after serving over 30 years.

Gary was a long-time member of the South Mountain Rod and Gun Club and Cascade American Legion Post 239.

He is survived by his daughters, Christina L. Walling and Heather M. Walling; son, George W. Walling; sisters, Donna Ashbaugh, Dorinda "Renny" Carlson, and Tina Walling; brothers, Gregory Walling and Cash Walling; grandchildren, Megan M. Walling, Chelsea N. Gipe, Daleah E. Dillinger, Lane W. Walling, and Luke A. Walling; 3 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Gary was preceded in death by his son, Gary L. Walling, and brothers, Donald and Enoch Walling.

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, March 21, 2025, at 11:00 am at J.L. Davis Funeral Home, 12525 Bradbury Ave, Smithsburg, MD.

Family will receive friends for a visitation the evening prior, Thursday, March 20, 2025, from 6:00 - 8:00 pm, at the funeral home.
