George Guilford Warner

George G. Warner, 84, of Blue Ridge Summit, PA, passed away Monday, April 5, 2021 at Fahrney-Keedy Memorial Home of Boonsboro, MD. Born July 25, 1936 in Waynesboro, PA, he was the son of the late Charles A. Warner and Helen E. (DeLawter) Warner. He was a graduate of Washington Township High School class of 1954 at a graduate of Hagerstown Junior College. He was a veteran of the Maryland Army National Guard, Highfield, MD unit. He was a life member of Blue Ridge Sportsman’s Association and Cascade American Legion Post 239. He was a self-employed construction contractor for over 5 years, worked for Grove Manufacturing for over 15 years and was owner and operator of Hill Country Enterprises for over 25 years. George is survived by his wife of 56 years, Sharon L. (Null) Warner whom he married July 18, 1964, two daughters, Megan Warner and husband Thomas Kost and Erin Best and husband Christopher, one son, Josh Warner and wife Stacie, four grandchildren, Ryan Best, Kyle Best, Benjamin Warner and Adrienne Warner, and nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles Warner and Robley Warner and one infant sister, H. Jane Warner. A memorial service will be held Sunday, April 11, 2021 at 2:00pm at J.L. Davis Funeral Home, Smithsburg, MD, with pastor Gene Cline officiating. The family will receive friend one hour prior to the service. Online condolences may be offered at, www.jldavisfh.com.
