George Oliver Willard

George Oliver Willard, 67, of Thurmont, MD, passed away Saturday, May 4, 2024, at Meritus Medical Center, Hagerstown, MD.

Born on September 29, 1956, in Thurmont, MD, he was the son of the late Mary Pauline (Green) and George Arthur Willard.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 Brothers, Arthur and Richard Willard.

George graduated from Catoctin High School, class of 1975.

George worked as a custodian with Frederick County Public Schools until 2015.

George was an avid mushroom and deer hunter. He was also a Dodge Challenger enthusiast, having owned several Challengers even leading up to his passing.

He is survived by his Son, Benjamin Willard of Hagerstown, MD; Sister, Edna Huff and husband, Dennis of Wylie, TX; and numerous Nieces and Nephews.

A funeral service will be held Thursday, May 9, 2024, at 11 AM at J.L. Davis Funeral Home, 12525 Bradbury Ave Smithsburg, MD 21783 with Pastor Andrew Brown officiating. Interment will follow in Brown's Cemetery, Foxville, MD.

Family will receive friends one hour prior.
