Gerald Lawrence “Gerry” Bradner, 90, of Waynesboro, PA, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at The Leland of Laurel Run, surrounded by his loving family.
Raised in Pocahontas, VA, he was the son of the late Lawrence and Lena (Holloway) Bradner.
Gerry proudly served his country in the U.S. Army, achieving the rank of Sergeant Major. He was a Vietnam veteran. His military career spanned 29 years, culminating in his retirement from Fort Ritchie. Known for his dedication, resilience, and leadership, Gerry was deeply respected by those who served alongside him.
Outside of his service, Gerry was an avid golfer who found great joy on the greens locally and in Myrtle Beach, SC. He cherished the friendships he made through the game.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 56 years, Charlotte “Jenny” Bradner, as well as his brothers, Jack and Gary Wayne Bradner.
Gerry will be deeply missed by his sons, Peter Bradner of Texas, and Raymond Bradner and wife Angela of Littlestown, PA; his grandchildren, Hannah of Texas, Marley of Florida, and Ella and Trey of Pennsylvania.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, October 6, 2025, at St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church Cemetery, on St. Andrews Drive, Waynesboro, PA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Grane Hospice Care, 1200 Camp Hill Bypass, Ste.205 Camp Hill, PA 17011.
