Glenn Woodrow Eccard III

Glenn Woodrow Eccard III, 49, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away Monday, September 13, 2021, at his home. Born May 2, 1972, in Hagerstown, MD, he was the son of Glenn W. Eccard II of Leitersburg, MD, and the late Carolyn Marie (Baker) Eccard. Glenn was a graduate of Smithsburg High School class of 1990. He attended Hagerstown Community College and received his B.A. Degree in Cyber Security from the University of Maryland. He worked for several companies over the years providing Cyber Security as a career. He loved playing guitar and listening to music. He was an avid sports fan and his favorite team to follow was the Dallas Cowboys. He enjoyed the mountains and spending time in nature. In addition to his father, Glenn is survived by his stepmother, Valerie Eccard, sister, Lisa Eccard, faithful canine companion, Gilbert and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Services will be held Tuesday, September 21, 2021, at 2:00pm at J.L. Davis Funeral Home, Smithsburg, MD, with Pastor Jim Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Smithsburg Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00pm – 2:00pm, one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in memory of Glenn W.
