Gwen E. Deal

Gwen Elizabeth Deal, 55, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away peacefully Sunday, January 26, 2025, at Meritus Medical Center, Hagerstown, MD, surrounded by loving family.

Born on August 25, 1969, in Hagerstown, MD, she was the daughter of Timothy Clyde Deal and the late Cheryl Joan (Bowers) Deal.

In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Dorothy McDaniel, and Maternal and Paternal Grandparents.

Gwen graduated from Smithsburg High School, class of 1987.

Gwen worked as a manager for County Market Grocery Store in Hagerstown. She then was a warehouse worker for Action Products until she was hired again as a manager for Save A Lot Foods in Hagerstown. She also did some housekeeping from time to time.

Gwen enjoyed Antiquing, collecting crystals, being in the outdoors and surrounded by nature, mushroom hunting, and spending time with family and friends.

In addition to her father, she is survived by her Son, Alexander D. Brooks and Daughter, Cheryl E. Deal, both of Hagerstown; Grandson, Elias; Brothers, Tim Deal, II and Eric Deal; and special friends, Molly Grosso, Jackie Brown and Wally Brooks.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
