Harry Garfield Masser, Jr., 72, of Hagerstown, Maryland, passed away at Meritus Medical Center on August 27, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.
Born on January 7, 1952, in Waynesboro, PA, he was the son of late Harry Garfield Masser, Sr. and Evelyn Paige Masser. He is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Lynley Masser, and his brother, Dale Masser.
Harry graduated from Waynesboro Senior High School, class of 1969. He served in United States Navy as a petty officer second class for two years as an aviation mechanic and received an honorable discharge. Harry was employed by Specialty Granules LLC (Grit Mill), retiring after 42 years. He was also a longtime member of the NRA.
In his spare time, he enjoyed target shooting, loved the Baltimore Ravens, and was a huge Mustang enthusiast. He also enjoyed time with family.
He is survived by five daughters Constance Evelyn Flory, Kelly Marie Masser, and Jessica Elizabeth Masser, all of Waynesboro, Pennsylvania; Katie Shoemaker and Kelly Shoemaker of Hagerstown, Maryland; and six grandchildren, Aaron, Jaden, Haley, Jacob, Kelsy, and Lance.
The family will hold a family and friends gathering at Davis funeral home, 12525 Bradbury Ave, Smithsburg, MD 21783 on Friday, September 6 from 6 -8 pm.
