Harold L. Waltz of Greencastle, PA, passed away on Saturday, October 19, 2024, at his home.
Born October 9, 1934, in Pondsville, MD, he was the son of the late Russel and Ethel Waltz.
Harold was raised by his grandparents, Roy and Laura Rudy.
He was a graduate of Smithsburg High School, Class of 1952.
Harold joined the Navy from 1952-1955.
He, and his wife, Carolyn, were married in 1957, in Hagerstown, MD.
Harold learned his trade at Landis Machine in Waynesboro, PA, and retired from Mack Truck in 1993, after 30 years.
His favorite time was spent with family. He loved nature and anything outdoors.
Harold was a member of the American Legion and a Lifetime member of the Greencastle VFW.
In addition to his parents, Harold is preceded in death by his precious daughter, Brenda.
Harold is survived by his Wife, as well as his two sons, Vincent and his wife Sandi, and Randy and his partner Sandy, all of Greencastle, Pa, his son-in-law, Jim DeYoung, and eight grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren.
A Graveside service will be held on Sunday, November 3, 2024, at Fairview Cemetery, Mercersburg, PA, at 12:00 pm.
