Henry F. Senz, 93, of Smithsburg, MD, passed away Wednesday, June 23, 2021, at Robinwood Assisted Living in Hagerstown, MD.
Born December 10, 1928, in the family home in Chatham, NJ, he was the son of the late Henry and Barbara (Meudt) Senz.
He was a veteran of the United States Air Force.
He retired from Mack Trucks in 1983 and then drove a school bus for Washington County School for extracurricular activities which he enjoyed very much.
He was a member of the Hagerstown Elks Club, American Legion, and was an active member of the Hag Power Squadron enjoying boating first on the Potomac River and then on the Chesapeake Bay from the Eastern Yacht Club.
He was a very active member of the Smithsburg Volunteer Fire Company and looked forward to helping with the carnival serving up Hanks Sausages.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Virginia W. Senz, son, Peter Senz of Hagerstown, daughter, Virginia Senz of Smithsburg, sister-in-law, Barbara Mahon of Manahawkin, NJ, grandchildren, Nicole Davis of Smithsburg and Bryan Senz of Reno, NV, and five beautiful great-grandchildren, Madison, Jonathon, Landon, Charlotte and Amelia.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Barbara Harrison.
Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
