JANET MARIE ROSE

Janet Marie Waldrop Rose, 85, of Smithsburg, MD, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, March 8, 2024, surrounded by her family in a room full of love.

Janet was born January 13, 1939, to Clinton and Helen Carter of Darnestown, MD.

She is preceded in death by her first and second husband, Mickey L Waldrop and Robert A. Rose. She is also preceded by her parents Clinton and Helen Carter, sisters Shirley Burdette and Joyce Elaine Carter (infant), brother Franklin Eugene Carter (infant). Three sons Micheal L. Waldrop, Tracy R. Waldrop and Brian E. Waldrop, all of Orlando, FL. One grandson Joshua R. Vann of Brunswick, MD. Son-in-law Gary L. Taylor of Smithsburg, MD and a daughter-in-law Elaine Waldrop of Orlando, FL.

She is survived by sisters, Loretta Cregger and Darlene Wolfe of Frederick, MD and Bonnie L. Shanholtz of Brandywine, WV. Her four remaining children Deborah D. Taylor, Clinton A. Waldrop of Smithsburg, MD, Cheryl M. Vann and husband Robert of Brunswick, MD, as well as Kimberly J. Bumgarner and husband Timothy of Martinsburg, WV.

She is also survived by fourteen grandchildren, and many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. The youngest making an appearance on the day Janet went home to be with the Lord. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She loved and cherished each member of the family.

Janet always did things her way and that includes arrangements for her final moments. Internment will be at the families discretion at a later date.
