JOAN ELAINE HAVER

Joan Elaine Haver, of Smithsburg, Maryland passed away January 07, 2024, at Meritus Medical Center, Hagerstown, Maryland.
 

Born on March 28, 1942, in Bridgeton, New Jersey, she was the daughter of the late Ruth Elizabeth (Parsons) and Frederick William Brandt.

Joan graduated from Bridgeton High School, Class of 1960. She had a very nurturing soul. She was an animal lover, Violist, enjoyed teaching music and Spanish, and operated a childcare program in Wheaton, Maryland, from which she retired after 36 years.

She is survived by her husband of 56 years, William N. Haver of Smithsburg, Maryland; sons, James Haver (Joely Roberts) of Silver Spring, Maryland; Justin Haver (Crystal) of Columbus, Ohio; daughters, Megan (Ed) Dunn of Roy, Washington; Michelle (Michael) Whalen of Portland, Oregon; and 4 grandchildren.
