Jacques Garvin Hager, 91, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away Sunday, September 16, 2018 at his home. Born Saturday, October 9, 1926 in Hagerstown, he was the son of the late J. Garvin Hager, Jr. and Florence Viola (Jacques) Hager. He was a veteran of WWII serving in the United States Navy. Before serving his country, he was employed by Fairchild Aircraft of Hagerstown. After his service, he was employed for over 30 years by the Washington County Board of Education as a teacher. He enjoyed spending time in colonial Williamsburg Virginia. He is survived by caregivers, Gloria Smith, Joann Lawyer, Venita Coffman and Mihn, friends, Paul Freiling, Bob Tracy, Katie Norton, Greg Hostetter, Gerald Larish, Jr., Darlene Slick and Kathy Startzman, many cousins and many students. A graveside service will be held Thursday, September 20, 2018 at 2:00pm at Smithsburg Cemetery with Father Todd Young officiating. Military honors will be provided by the Joint Veterans Council of Washington County and Marine Corp League of Hagerstown. Arrangements were made by J.L.
