James "Fritz" Richard Sine

James Richard Sine ("Fritz"), 75, of Chewsville, Maryland, passed away peacefully on July 1, 2026.

Born on February 17, 1951, in Hagerstown, Maryland, Fritz was a man whose greatest joys in life were his family, his friends, and the open road. He was known for his infectious sense of humor, unwavering kindness, and generous spirit. Fritz had a remarkable ability to make everyone feel welcome, and his genuine compassion left a lasting impression on all who knew him.

A passionate motorcyclist, Fritz dedicated many years to ABATE of Maryland's Washington County Chapter, where he advocated for fellow riders and formed lifelong friendships. He also gave generously of his time through volunteer work and community outreach with ACTS9 in Hagerstown,MD, always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need.

Above all else, Fritz treasured the people he loved.

He is survived by his daughters, Jessica Sine, her late husband Erik Viar and Kayce Richardson, and husband Bryan; his beloved granddaughters, Hailey Sine, Kaelah Sine, and Payton Richardson; his brother, Raymond Sine; his lifelong friends, Sonny and Cheryl Yeagy, Eugene Viar; his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Greg and Sharon Reed; and his faithful companion, Oso, who was always by his side.Fritz was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sally Lynn Sine, whose memory he cherished every day.

Fritz's legacy is one of love, laughter, loyalty, and service to others. He will be remembered for the countless lives he touched, the friendships he nurtured, and the joy he brought wherever he went.

Family will receive friends Saturday, July 11, 2026 from 1-4 PM at J.L. Davis Funeral Home, 12525 Bradbury Ave. Smithsburg, MD 21783.
