Janet Lee Ritchey was born in McConnellsburg, PA. on November 8th, 1959, oldest child and daughter of William and Peggy Carnell. She passed away January 21st, 2025, at her home in Falling Waters, WV. She graduated from Southern Fulton High School in 1977. She was preceded in death by her daughter Tracy Jo Ritchey, aged 17 and her husband Roger Lee Ritchey Sr., aged 44. She is survived by her sons Scott Eugene Carnell and Roger Lee Ritchey Jr. Daughter in law Patricia Ann Ritchey. Sister Tina Booth and Brother John Carnell. Nieces Tonya Messner and April Booth and nephew Dale Booth Jr. Great grandnieces Hannah and Kieana and great grandnephews Dylan and Zachary. Granddaughter Cheyenne Carnell and great grandson Sebastian McCusker.
Janet loved planting vegetables, taking care of her big beautiful rose bushes and other flowers, Bigfoot (Sasquatch), John Wayne, painting and most of all she loved and kept a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Janet was a kind woman that loved to laugh loud and smile big. Janet always kept busy with projects around the home when she wasn't working. She was a nurse's assistant for many years at different nursing homes before working at Cornell Brands in Greencastle, PA for over 20 years.
Janet always prayed for others, wrote to and spoke to God. If you knew her, you and your loved ones were always in her thoughts and prayers.
