Janice Lee (Wolf) Munson

Janice Lee Munson, 87, of Smithsburg, MD, passed away peacefully Thursday, September 18, 2025 at Williamsport Retirement Village, Williamsport, MD, surrounded by loving family.

Born on October 5, 1937 in Hagerstown, MD, she was the daughter of the late Vera May (Harshman) and Roscoe Gaius Wolf.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 60 years, Paul Kenneth Munson.

Janice graduated from Smithsburg High School, class of 1955.

Janice first worked as a secretary at Smithsburg Elementary School. She then went on to become an Office Supervisor for Double Day Printing, then she retired as a Customer Service Representative for Potomac Edison.

Janice enjoyed fishing, going to car races, and was an avid Baltimore Orioles fan. She also enjoyed spending time with her family.

She is survived by her Son, Rodney Munson of Smithsburg, MD; Daughters, Carol Doyle and husband, Frank, of Orrstown, PA, and Jacquelyn Minnick of Hagerstown, MD; one Granddaughter, one Grandson and one Great Granddaughter.

A funeral service will be held Friday, September 26, 2025 at 12 PM at St. Peter's Beards Lutheran Church, 21348 Old Forge Rd. Hagerstown, MD 21742, with Reverend Alan Reed officiating. Interment will follow in Smithsburg Cemetery, Smithsburg, MD.

Family will receive friends Thursday, September 25 from 6-8 PM at J.L. Davis Funeral Home, Smithsburg, MD.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to St. Peter's Beards Lutheran Church.
