Jerold M. Ostrow

Jerold Millard Ostrow, 90, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away Sunday, May 11, 2025 at Meritus Medical Center, Hagerstown, MD.

Born on May 8, 1935 in Troy, NY, he was the son of the late Berta (Hayman) and Louis Ostrow.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his Son, Jeremey Ostrow, and Daughter, Kimberley Ostrow.

Jerold served in the U.S. Army and was self-employed for over 30 years as the owner of the Clozermatic garage door company.

Jerry was an avid ping pong and racquetball player, deeply enjoyed practicing and learning about yoga and Tai Chi, and he loved to play guitar and to read. He also enjoyed spending time with his family.

He is survived by a Daughter, Gigi Ostrow, and husband, Matthew Salomon, of La Crescenta, CA; Granddaughter, Alyssa Ostrow of Frederick, MD; and Grandson, Luke Salomon of La Crescenta, CA.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Veterans Yoga Project (https://veteransyogaproject.org).

Jerold's ashes will be buried at Ramsey Creek Preserve in Westminster, SC.
