Joann Elaine (Martin) Willard, 83, of Foxville, MD, passed away Thursday, May 8, 2025.
Born October 14, 1941, in Cavetown, MD, she was the daughter of the late Abraham James and Pauline Lefa (Kline) Martin.
Joann was a graduate of Smithsburg High School, class of 1959, and was employed at Doubleday Publishing in Cavetown, MD, prior to becoming a full-time mother and homemaker.
Joann was an active member of Mt. Bethel United Methodist Church in Foxville, MD for 58 years, and served as the pianist and organist for the majority of those years. She also maintained the Church Baptism and Membership records and served as Treasurer for many years.
Joann especially enjoyed the Christmas season, family gatherings, Elvis's movies and music, and Orioles baseball. She kept genealogy records and served 28 years as the Kline Family Reunion secretary.
She is survived by her Children; Jackie R. Willard, Cheryl K. Fredrikis (Tony), Michael W. Willard, and Rhonda D. Conner (Gordon); Grandchildren, Angela (Willard) Schectman (Matt), Justin Willard (Katie), Tara (Fredrikis) Johnson (Ron), Kyle Fredrikis (Marie), Raven Conner (Andy Covell), and Travis Conner; Great Grandchildren, Rebecca and Elise Schectman, Cody Eyler and Emma Willard, Mylah, Tyler, and Winter Covell; Sister, Beverly K. Smith, and Brother in law, Michael Johnston.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her Husband, Harold R. Willard, Sister, Sharon L. Johnston, and Brother-in-law, David M. Smith, Sr.
A funeral service will be held Friday, May 16, 2025, at 11 AM at Mt. Bethel United Methodist Church, 14110 Stottlemyer Rd. Smithsburg, MD 21783 with Pastor Andrew Brown officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Bethel UMC Cemetery, Smithsburg, MD.
Family will receive friends Thursday, May 15, 2025, from 6-8 PM at J.L. Davis Funeral Home, Smithsburg, MD.
