John Wesley Hixon, Sr.

John Wesley Hixon, Sr., 79, of Williamsport, MD, passed away Wednesday, July 7, 2021, at Select Specialty Hospital in Harrisburg, PA. Born May 3, 1942, in Hagerstown, MD, he was the son of the late Charles Leslie Hixon and Ruth O’Neill (Kirby) Hixon. He was a graduate of Williamsport High School class of 1960. He retired from Mack Trucks of Hagerstown in 2001 after serving over 30 years. He was a member of Red Men Tribe #84 of Williamsport, MD and UAW Local 171. John is survived by his wife of 49 years, Mary A. (Little) Hixon, daughter, Kelly West and husband David, granddaughter, Nicole West, and brothers, Charles Hixon and wife Kaye and Earl Hixon and wife Cheryl. He was preceded in death by his son, David Hixon. Services and burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. Arrangements were made by J.L.
