John Shindledecker Obituary
John D. Shindledecker, Cascade, MD; born August 11, 1929, passed away on Monday, January 5, 2026, at the age of 96.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Sharon D. and Cora (Brown) Shindledecker, and his wife, Lilly Catherine (Willard) Shindledecker.
John retired, as a custodian, from Washington County Public Schools.
As a young man, John was a self-taught musician. He, pretty much, could listen to any song and pick it out on his banjo or guitar. He enjoyed working in his garden and yard, watching and feeding the birds, especially, mountain bluebirds, and taking care of their many cats, and parakeets.
There will be no viewing or visitation.
Graveside services will be held at a later date.
