John Dorsey Wolfe

John Dorsey Wolfe, a dedicated farmer and proud Korean War Veteran, passed away peacefully at the age of 97, at Doey's House, Hagerstown, Monday, June 17, 2024.

He was born on May 20, 1927 in Smithsburg, MD.

After John was drafted and served in the Korean War, he returned home and spent a lifetime tending Wolfe's Orchard.

He was the husband of the late Evelyn Wolfe, who passed on October 6, 2018.

He is survived by his children, Daughter, Carolyn; Sons, Thomas and wife Lisa, and Billy and wife Patsy. He was blessed with 6 Grandchildren and 11 Great Grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his son, James; and Grandson, Aaron, 3 Brothers and 6 Sisters.

A viewing will be held Friday, June 21, 2024 from 6-8 PM at J.L. Davis Funeral Home, 12525 Bradbury Ave., Smithsburg, MD 21783, for family and friends.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, June 22, 2024 at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, 17636 W. Washington St., Hagerstown, MD 21740

In lieu of flowers, memorail donations can be made in John's honor to Doey's House, 11370 Caring Pathway Ln, Hagerstown, MD 21742.
