Junior Ralph Draper

Junior R. Draper, 77, of Smithsburg, MD, passed away peacefully at his home on August 29, 2020 surrounded by his family. Born November 7, 1942 in Hagerstown, MD, he was the son of the late Arnold R. Draper and Goldie Mae (Willard) Draper. He attended Wolfsville and Middletown Schools. He was a veteran of the United States Army Airborne Division. He was a lifetime member of South Mountain Rod and Gun Club of Smithsburg, a lifetime member of the NRA, a member of American Legion Post 239 of Cascade and a member of AMVETS Post 10 of Hagerstown. He loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. Junior is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Connie M. (Monn) Draper whom he married April 21, 1972, sons, Rodney Draper and wife Jeannie and Jason Draper, daughter, Sherry Willard and husband Barry, brothers, Arnold W. “Sonny” Draper and wife Donna and Donald L. Draper and wife Sue, grandchildren, Ryne, Austin, Jasmine, Rodney-Jr., and Brandi, three great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, September 1, 2020 at 11:00am at Black Rock Bible Church, Hagerstown, MD, with Pastor Guy Nesbitt officiating.
