KAREN PATRICIA OLLER

Karen Patricia Oller, 70, of Smithsburg, MD, passed away peacefully Thursday, May 8, 2025, at Doey's House, Hagerstown, MD, surrounded by loving family and friends.

Born on October 8, 1954, in Gaithersburg, MD, she was the daughter of the late Margaret (Shoemaker) and Oscar DuBois.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her Husband, Kevin Oller; Brother, Andrew DuBois; Aunt, Sarah "Sally" Shoemaker; and Daughter, Shena Oller.

Karen graduated from Gaithersburg High School, class of 1972. She later attended Montgomery Community College and then Western Maryland College where she obtained her Bachelor's Degree. After graduation, she worked as a Parole and Probation Agent for the State of Maryland until her retirement after 36 years of service.

Karen enjoyed and excelled at numerous hobbies and talents, including gardening, bird watching, canning, baking, and cooking. She also enjoyed sewing and other arts and crafts, and she also loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by her daughters, Rachel Thompson and husband, Rob, of Hagerstown, MD; and Katie Oller of Waynesboro, PA; Grandchildren, Kelsi, Serj, Trevyn and Enzo; Sister, Nancy Giles; Brother, Michael DuBois; Aunt, Mary "Polly" Shoemaker; and numerous Nieces and Nephews.

A Memorial service will be held, Friday, June 20, 2025 at 11:00 AM at J.L. Davis Funeral Home, 12525 Bradbury Ave. Smithsburg, MD, 21783 with Reverend Allan Weatherholt officiating. Inurnment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hagerstown, MD.

Family will receive friends one hour prior.
