KEVIN REYNOLDS Obituary

Kevin Mickey Reynolds, 51, of Waynesboro, PA died on Monday, January 13th, 2025, at his home.

Born June 1, 1973, in Hagerstown, MD, Kevin, also known as Mick or Honey, was the son of the late Harry G Reynolds and the late Joyce E Reynolds of Smithsburg.

Kevin is survived by his beloved and adored daughter who was and is his greatest accomplishment, Alexandra Reynolds, his siblings: Kathy Reynolds (Nelson), Harriet Yost (Terry), Glenn Reynolds (Cindy), his nieces and nephews: Stacy Wujcik (Alan), Jeremy Yost (Nicole), Tara Rohrer (Travis), Branda Yeargan (Tom), great-nieces and nephews: Ryan, Ava, Lily, Leah, Lucas, Claire, many friends who were considered family, and his faithful furry companion, his boy, Buddy.

Kevin was a 1991 graduate of Smithsburg High School and went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education from Shepherd University. Throughout his life, Kevin worked in various related fields: personal trainer/gym manager (South Pointe), gym owner (Fitness Priority) PE teacher (Cascade Elementary, Greenbrier Elementary), tennis coach/unified tennis coach (North Hagerstown High School), and tennis pro (Northwood Tennis Club). He was a certified stringer for Solinco and was the “go to” for broken strings in the area, always coming through for our local athletes before important matches.

In addition to his contributions to local tennis and youth sports, Kevin was known for his robust personality, his dedication to his daughter and mother, his loyalty to his loved ones, and his love of fantasy sports, especially football. He loved cheering for the Ravens (especially against the Steelers) and the Yankees (especially against the Red Sox), playing Texas Hold ‘em, having “party days” at the pool, decorating for Christmas, 80’s music, playing trivia, and doing anything his daughter and her friends asked of him.

A Celebration of Kevin's Life will be held on Sunday, February 16th, 2025, from 1-4pm at the Hagerstown Elk's Lodge. Light food and Kevin’s favorite candies will be available. Please come prepared to share your best story, experience or childhood memory. It is the request of his daughter that guests dress informally, preferably wearing Adidas and/or his favorite color, purple.

In Kevin's Honor, we encourage you to support youth sports (especially tennis), show patience to the elderly, and to find room in your hearts and homes for special pets.
