Kathy Ann Morris

Kathy Ann Morris, 67, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, around 1:00 am at Meritus Medical Center. Her passing was due to complications from a recent surgery to remove an aneurysm from her abdomen. Hours prior to her death, she was surrounded by her 2 oldest children and waited for them to leave before she finally allowed her heart to stop beating.

Kathy was born November 11, 1957, in Hagerstown, MD, she was the daughter if the late Ralph and Geraldine Morris, she was their youngest of six daughters.

Kathy loved anything Elvis Presley and playing Bingo. What made ger stand out the most was her kind heart, always opening her arms to those in need, and her crazy life stories she told, with no filter at all.

Remaining to cherish the memories of Kathy are her three children, Sheree Smith, Jerry Smith Jr., and Angels Thames, nine grandchildren, Shawn, Dante, Jerrica, Ashley, Marcus, Karessa, Quinton, Darnell, and Jasmine, nine great-grandchildren, and four sisters, Judy, Irene, Mary, and Joyce.

In addition to her parents, Kathy was preceded in death by her son, James Kegler, 2 great-grandsons, Shawn Kinzer Jr., and Christiano Kinzer, and sister, Linda Green.

A viewing for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, from 6:00 -8:00 pm at J.L. Davis Funeral Home, 12525 Bradbury Ave, Smithsburg, MD.
