Kenneth "Pop Pop" Lee Johns, 80, of Knoxville, Maryland, passed away peacefully on November 21, 2025, at Frederick Memorial Hospital with his family by his side.
Kenneth was the heart of his family—a man known for his kindness, steady presence, and unwavering love for those he cared about. He lived his life with quiet strength, working hard, helping others without hesitation, and finding joy in life’s simple pleasures. One of his greatest joys was his love of model trains, a passion that brought him happiness and sparked countless memories shared with friends and family.
Born March 19th, 1945 in Severna Park, Kenneth built a meaningful and respected career as a mechanical engineer and master plumber. He worked with pride, made many lifelong friends along the way, and was admired for his skill, dedication, and honest character.
Above all else, Kenneth loved his family. He is survived by his beloved wife, Kathy; his brother, Robin; his sister, Linda; and his children, Kenny, Julie, Mike, Scottie, and Katie—each of whom he loved deeply and supported wholeheartedly. He was a proud grandfather to Destiny, Emily, Lauren, Taylor, Alexus, Arieana, Cole, Lily, and Flora, and a joyful great-grandfather to Aria, Willow, and Wesley. He also cherished his many nieces and nephews, holding each of them close in his heart.
Kenneth is reunited in eternal rest with his parents, Daniel Winfield and Ellen Naomi, his brothers, John and Dennis, and his sisters, Barbara and Suzanne, whose memories he carried with him throughout his life.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, December 13, from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Brownsville Church of the Brethren, 1911 Rohrersville Rd, Knoxville, MD 21758.
