Kyle Haught Obituary

Kyle Edward Haught, 56, of Hagerstown, passed away peacefully Saturday, February 10, 2024 at his home, surrounded by family and friends after a courageous five year battle with cancer.

Born on October 14, 1967 in Hagerstown, he was the son of Wanna Lee (Burnside) and James Clemmons Haught.

He was preceded in death by Grandparents, C.F. Burnside and Icie Burnside; and Horace L. Haught and Gwen Haught; Father in law, LaMont B. Mumma; and Brother in law, Erhard Hagmann.

He graduated from South Hagerstown High School, class of 1985.

After high school, Kyle earned his Associate's degree from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh in 1987.

Kyle worked as a Graphic Designer for Artcomp in Baltimore until he was hired in the Public Relations Department with Washington County Hospital on September 10, 2001. He worked in that position until April of 2019.

Kyle was a member of the Washington County Izaak Walton League of America in Clear Spring.

Kyle enjoyed hiking, camping, fishing and boating, and woodworking, having built several music instruments.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his loving wife of 18 years, Amy C. (Mumma) Haught; Son, Benjamin M. Haught; Daughter, Zoe R. Haught; Brother, David Haught (Joanna); Sisters, Laura Hagmann and Kathryn Morningstar (Marshall); Brothers in Law, Chris Mumma and Jon Mumma; Sister in law, Jenny Mumma; Mother in law, Barb Mumma; numerous Nieces and Nephews; and his Fur Babies, Lucky and Ronnie James Meow.

A receiving of friends will be held Friday, February 23, 2024 from 6-8 PM at J.L. Davis Funeral Home, 12525 Bradbury Ave., Smithsburg, MD 21783.

In lieu of flowers, gifts in memory of Kyle may be directed to support the Greenebaum Comprehensive Cancer Center at the University of Maryland Medical System Foundation.
