LILLIAN BERNICE DISTIN

Lillian Bernice Distin, age 90, of Smithsburg, MD peacefully passed away at her home on Monday December11, 2023. Ms. Lillian was born on October 16, 1933, in Ury West Virginia to Charles Hensley and Nora Gross.

Lillian Distin was a devoted and loving person. She worked for the A&P Grocery Co. for many years, she also worked for 28 years for the United States Postal Service, and for Montgomery County Public School Board for several years. She enjoyed reading, talking with Family and Friends, and her sweets!

She was preceded in death by son’s Timothy Alan Distin and David A. Distin, great-grandson Declan Conner McCreary. Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Gregory Dale Brown; Thomas Wayne Distin and wife Pam; and Dennis Ray Distin; Mary Jill McCreary and husband James; 12 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Services will be held Sunday December 17, 2023, 3 PM until 5 PM at J.L. Davis Funeral Home, 12525 Bradbury Ave, Smithsburg, MD. Burial will be held at Sunset Memorial Park, Beckley, WV, Monday, December 18, 2023, 1pm.
