LINDA DARLNE SPRENKLE

Linda Darlene Sprenkle, 79, of Waynesboro, PA, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 4, 2024, at her home. Born October 12, 1944, in Waynesboro, PA. Linda dedicated her life to her family, embracing her role as a loving mother and wife, and nurturing her family with unwavering care and affection. Linda is survived by her husband, Robert R. Sprenkle, Sr., children, Deborah Kay Jones, Barbara Ann Socks, Franklin Eugene Burkett Jr. and wife Nancy, Darlene Marie Gaines, Theesa Ann Davis and husband Dietrick, Christopher Lynn Burkett, Rene Brumbaugh and husband Les, Roger Sprenkle and wife Sam, and Robert Sprenkle Jr., and many grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her late husband, Franklin Eugene Burkett, Sr. Throughout her life, Linda found joy in simple pleasures. She was an avid bingo player and enjoyed crossword puzzles. Country driving was her favorite pastime, allowing her to appreciate the beauty of the landscape and the changing seasons. In her cherished role as a homemaker, Linda created a warm and welcoming home environment. While Lindas presence will be deeply missed, her spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved her. A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 14, 2024, at 1:00 pm, at J.L. Davis Funeral Home, 12525 Bradbury Ave, Smithsburg, MD 21783, officiated by Pastor Virgil Cain. Family will receive friends one hour prior for visitation.
