Larry Dean Brunner

Larry Dean Brunner, 69, of Hagerstown, MD, passed peacefully in his home on Thursday July 18, 2024 in Hagerstown, MD.

Born April 21, 1955, Smithsburg, MD. He was the son of the late Nevin L. Brunner and Betty J. Brunner of Chewsville, Md.

Larry was a 1973 graduate of Smithsburg High School. He worked many years for Grove Manufacturing, construction, and as a welder with Pangborn.

Larry’s early years, he enjoyed hunting and riding his motorcycle with his friends. Later years, he preferred fishing and watching his favorite NFL football team, the Minnesota Vikings lose almost every season. SKOL fan forever!

He was preceded in death by his wife Paula Sheppard Brunner and one brother Monte J. Brunner.

He is survived by one brother Barry L. Brunner of Smithsburg, MD, one daughter, Ericka Shaw (husband Joshua); two grandsons: Alonso Chavez and Lucas Shaw of Waynesboro, PA, and one son, James Brunner (Charlene Parrill); one granddaughter: Lily Brunner of Waynesboro, PA.

A memorial service will be held at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 13025 Greensburg Rd, Smithsburg, MD, 21783, with Pastor Julie Brigham officiating on Friday August 9, 2024 at 11:00 am.
