Leon James "Jamie" Bowers, 51, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away Wednesday, August 2, 2023, at his home.

Born November 27, 1971, in Hagerstown, MD, he was the son of the late Leon R. Bowers, and Doris Jean (Nelson) Bowers.

Leon worked as a welder for Canan Steel for over 20 years. Some if his favorite things to do was hunt and fish.

In addition to his parents, Leon is preceded in death by his nephew, Samuel Franklin Bowers, Jr., and brother John R. Bowers Sr.

Leon is survived by his loving wife of nearly 31 years, Janice Lee (Sharltz) Bowers, daughter, Hayleigh Bowers, brothers, Samuel F. Bowers, Sr. (Robin), Thomas R. Bowers (Cindy), and Joseph Bowers (Kelly), sister Viola Mcdonald (Charles), sister-in-law, Thelma Reeder (Kenny) and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
